Generations and Gender Survey Wave 1, Wave 2 & Wave 3 - Variable Availability

This file documents the availability of variables across GGS country datasets published in Nesstar. It contains all the GGS variables included in all released waves and country datasets (including country-specific variables). Variables have observations equal to the GGS codes of each country dataset where they are present. For example, if a variable is available in the dataset "GGS_Wave1_France", that variable will have an observation equal to "15.1 France W1". Similarly, if a variable is available in the dataset "GGS_Wave2_France", that variable will have an observation equal to "15.2 France W2".

Variable availability across all harmonized datasets published in Nesstar, GGS Wave1, version 4.4. and GGS Wave 2, version 1.3. and GGS Wave 3, version 1.0. 18 countries are available for Wave 1, and 13 countries for Wave 2, plus the German-Turkish subsample (both for Wave1 and Wave2) and 3 countries for Wave 3. In total, variable availability across 36 datasets is documented.
